Named after the Afghan mother goddess of fertility, Disani, the collection serves as a tribute to her, emphasizing our deep connection to both the environment and antiquity. This curated selection features traditional vintage and locally sourced, small-batch fabrics, alongside intricate embroideries, all transformed into a range of apparel, accessories, and soft home goods.
The materials used are sustainably produced and include organic cotton and mulberry silk, which is celebrated for its healing benefits for both the soul and skin. The collection is brought to life by local Tajik women and Afghan refugee women groups, all of whom possess remarkable skills in weaving, apparel production, and hand embroidery.
Drawing from the region's rich heritage, the collection also finds inspiration in both traditional and contemporary architectural forms, specifically reflecting the innovative designs of Iraqi-born parametric architect Zaha Hadid.
